Not Alone Report

Publication Date: 2014
Abstract: The White House Task Force to Protect Students From Sexual Assault was established on January 22, 2014, with a mandate to strengthen federal enforcement efforts and provide schools with additional tools to help combat sexual assault on their campuses. The Task Force announced a series of actions to identify the scope of the problem on college campuses; help prevent campus sexual assault; help schools respond effectively when a student is assaulted; and improve, and make more transparent, the federal government's enforcement efforts. Campus sexual assault is a complicated, multidimensional problem with no easy or quick solutions. This report is the first step in the Task Force's work. The action steps and recommendations highlighted in this report are the initial phase of an ongoing plan and commitment to putting an end to this violence on campuses.
